Enslaved by Freedom

Everyone wants freedom. But how do we define it?Are we talking about making our own Choices, Wearing what we wish, Going where we want , Eating what we like or Voting who we deem right? Does it give us the ability to Pursue our desires or ensures that we fulfill them.
Does an economically poor person has freedom to Eat his favorite Dish? Who is stopping an Obese human to do a Somersault if he wishes to? Is a weak student not eligible to Clear JEE Advanced? Is any human being not willing to be the best possible version of himself. If no then how many of us are actually 100% satisfied by our achievements. Very few. Why?
The answer lies within the question itself. Freedom comes with a side effect. It does not give us only one choice.
(Well if it were only one choice it would mean we have no Choice at all)
It actually gives us two. The Same freedom which allows us to Pursue our desire also permits us to be indolent and let it slip. The fact is that we do have freedom. But that's too true to be good.
The Liberty that sets us free,
Is deceit that kills our dreams

Make no mistake. It's not the choice between Maharaja Mac and Mc Alo tikki that matters. It's whether or not we are willing to get our ass kicked in order to be kick ass later. Whether or not we are willing to sacrifice the Instant Gratification (the other IG) for a lasting Accomplishment. Are we willing to Confront our Comfort  and Unfurl our potence. Can we Surge and Curb that unwanted Urge at bay. Well I could not stop forcing rhymes in this very article. Ironic. Be more subtle, Asit. Easier said than done haan!
But it's not like we have never done it before. We got ourselves Educated, didn't we. Despite so much internal resistance. Don't we do so many things in our lives even when every bone in our body tempts otherwise. I am sure you will remember at least a few occasions. It means we do posses the power to bully ourselves to do what we put our mind to. But sometimes we need external help too. For example a Student goes to his Guru to learn yoga, he surrenders his free will and does what he is told to do without questioning the techniques. And when the class is over, he is a free man again with an upgrade. A profitable trade-off. But it was the Pupil who chose to be obedient during that period. He was bound but his choice was still doing the work.
Its a very thin line which needs to be clearly drawn between what i desire to achieve today and what i want to do now. Its a balance one needs to have to attain the maxima. I am sure one can learn with practice and being in the zone.
I hope you find this useful or at least something to ponder over. Ending with a notable quote
"Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better"

The Anti-Corruption Scam

I am not a patriot. I am a very selfish person. I care about myself a lot. But I want something that every Common Man of this country wants. I want a clean ambience. I want the roads to be smooth. I want easy Tatkal. I want the fuel prices lower. I want to get my driving license smoothly. I want a corruption free system. I don’t want any criminal lawmakers. I want to be free in every aspect of life.
After 66 years of independence we are not even close to freedom. We are just slaves. The only freedom we have is to elect our masters, that too only once in 5 years. Giving them full freedom to exploit us. And in the next election we elect the opposition which does the same. They show themselves as opposites, but form consensus to oppose Janlokpal and even the Supreme Court ruling in order to protect their criminal MP’S and MLA’S(http://ibnlive.in.com/news/cabinet-negates-sc-order-ordinance-to-shield-convicted-mps-mlas-cleared/424283-37-64.html ). A simple common sense tells that if they themselves are Corrupt, why would they make strong laws against themselves ?
The definition of Politics has changed in this era. It runs on Black Money. In order to clean the system, we need a cancer. A Scam if I may say so. A scam against the the current convention of Politics. An Anti-Corruption Scam.
Is it even possible to do this. A few years ago it wasn’t. But the scenario has changed. If we want to make a difference, we have to start from somewhere. Lets start from the Capital. Elections are coming this November in Delhi. There are 3 major Contenders. Two of them are big Ones (pun intended) . One is BJ”Pee”. And other led by Dik- “Shit” . Both are pimps of corruption. If you want to be treated like an excreta then go ahed and vote for them.
I know a party which is transparent, has non-criminal candidates, vows to bring Janlokpal and Power to people.  If you are fed up of the current system, Please Vote for AAP. You may feel that one vote won’t make a difference. Of course you are right. That’s why we have to influence other votes too. I am doing the same here. Many citizens say that they don’t give a “fuck” about Politics. Well if you don’t give a  ”fuck” now, you won’t have any ”fuck” left  to give for the next 5 years. Agar Haq lena hai to ”fuck” to dena padega. Kyun ki agar AAP nahi aaega to aapka kya hoga. The Big question here is not that Whether AAP has the capability to win the elections. The big question is Whether the citizens of Delhi have enough Righteousness and Ambition to win AAP.
How can you help ? 1. You can Vote. 2. You can donate. 3.You can write blogs just like I am doing. Or 4 . You can become an active Volunteer.
I may be selfish but I don’t mind sponsoring a few Brooms to clean my surroundings.
If a non-Patriot, non-Selfless person like me can do something that will benefit every Common Man including me and you, then why don’t you ?

It's Tough Being a Roger Fan

When the time gets tough, the tough gets going and when the tough gets going, time is bound to get tough. Not a general philosophy but is apparently true for Roger Federer. He is winning fewer titles, losing a lot more matches, Skying the ball more often and making dozens of groundstroke errors.  Given his records and achievements his career graph is slipping without a doubt. He has even lost in rankings but certainly not in his Fan retention capacity.
People say that in order to establish legacy he has to Quit at his prime. But Roger is not doing that, audaciously defying the mindset of other legends. He won't quit and perhaps will redefine legacy that he has already defined once. He is playing because he can and we are his fans because we love to see him play. His this attitude along with his artistry with his racket, his magical strokes and his out of the world decision making makes a man Roger's fan. His loyal fans are royal fans because of his regime in their hearts.
It is not difficult to become his fan. His legend is legendary, his moments are momentous and to see his game is just spell bounding. We still see glimpses of perfection in his erratic current game. To see him lose is a heartbreak every single time. But we will still support him the next time he plays fully being aware of the reality. That's why it not tough to be his fan, it is just tough being one.

Sri Sris Of the Oval World

No no no no no. This article has nothing to do with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar or The Art Of Living. It is all about the art of fixing, setting, betting and scamming used by the white and blue collared legends in the cricketing world.
One of the Sri's, Sreesanth revealed many startling and queering facts about the recent spot fixing scandal in an exclusive interview. Although he accepted taking part in the fixing, he took umbrage of the allegation that he bowled the over badly on purpose. "That's ridiculous" he said ."I don't take money for bowling bad. Bowling bad is my intrinsic nature. I deliver good when compensated." The statement raised more questions than it answered. It led to the logical next question "If bowling bad is your nature then how do you manage to bowl good when required." "That's the real question. See, the outcome of a delivery depends on the performance of both Batsman and the Bowler" he smirked. "So...?" i asked in curiosity. "I pay a part of my compensation to the Batsman on Crease to bat bad. That's how i do it". "But then how does the batsman know beforehand that he is going to bat when you bowl ?" "Arey bhai...Are you an idiot or a reporter. Can't you even make this out. He doesn't know that beforehand. I deal with him on the spot. That's the reason it is called spot fixing. Duhh." " Ok ok Sree. There is just a last questions our readers would want to know. If you did not bowl bad that Over on purpose, why did you show your towel ?." "Actually it was the indication that i wasn't going to bowl as per the plan. Mera Zameer jaag gaya tha us waqt." he sobbed. "That was the first time i felt that i was betraying my nation and fans. See how luck works. Humko mili uski saza, jo hum khata kar na sake ." he continued quoting a popular phrase. He admitted regretting his decision to fix. He still misses the ODI World Cup victory. His smile used to be golden then. It was a sign of his integrity. Later, it got disintegrated by the lust for money, women and ego. Now he go's to jail and his future seems to be fixed.
Well, that was all we could get from Sreesanth. Stay tuned for the encounter with the other Sri.

Badminton Life

I was 6 years old.I still remember the day when i first held a racket. It was not voluntary. My mother made me do it with the sole purpose of getting me out of the house. She used to feed me the shuttles to help me gain a hand eye co-ordination.The way it started was not my first choice but it gave me another reason to be grateful to her.
Slowly i started developing interest in the game.I used to follow the game of Prakasham Uncle. He was a 50+ man with great enthusiasm and skill for the game.He was very friendly and awesomely witty.I used to sit and watch his game and when he was done i would persuade him to play with me.
I can't believe that i play with even more zeal now. This sport has given me more than anything else has.Friends, enemies, rivals, successes, failures, injuries, disappointments and moments are to name a few.But more than that it has given me another reason to live.I feel suffocated if i don't play for even a single day.Not just sports,it teaches lessons in life too.It has given me strength to recover. It gave me a tear in my ligament but not a single in my eye.Thats the beauty of this game.It doesn't matter how much tension is there in the guts of your racket. It matters how much guts you have when you are under tension.Badminton also teaches us to "love all" with the exception of the opponent, while on court.I also have developed an ego that i can beat anyone. It is the acceptance of a defeat yet rejection of anyone's superiority over me.When i am on the court i don't care whom i am representing or who my opponent is.I love playing with this attitude of "Ye Court mera hai aur mai iss court ka Jaykant Shikre".
I don't think anything, absolutely anything can stop me from playing Badminton.Nothing can take me away from this sport because I am Sport.I was not born with a racket but i am sure i will die with one.The kill at the net,the skill at the strokes, the drills to improve and the thrill of a fight gives me the will to go on and on.The smash of Dan,the speed of Lee,the class of Gade and Hidayat increase my motivation level.I extend my gratitude towards everyone who is responsible for my presence on the court.

In-dependence

During school days the significance of Independence day for me was only about having a holiday, getting sweets and doing unwanted march past.I always wondered what the fuss was all about. The more i grew the more i believed in my belief.Isn't Independence our birthright? Why are we wasting so much time, energy and attention on it's celebration.I mean its our basic requirement. No doubt it is important but it is just level 1.If we are giving it this much importance then how low are our standards? We need to rise above independence
.
And what do we mean by Independence? We are no longer slaves to the British empire. But aren't we still the  indirect slaves of the Ruling Govt?We are free slaves. The only freedom we have is to choose our master.India is independent,Indian's aren't.Untill all Indians are free we can't be truely free.
And what's the use of this formal Independence if we can't be dependable. We should be ashamed that we are still developing.Even a tumor develops faster than us.
What else are we proud of-Unity in diversity.Really?Even ever
y individual diverse element is divided over petty issues. We have to understand that sugarcoating crap doesn't make it edible.
You may say it is easy to criticize. But isn't it important as well.We can't improve if we can't see ourselves with an unadulterated mindset.Only after we achieve the right goals we get the right to feel proud.Otherwise the only difference between Freedom and slavery is that of a Golden Cage and an Open Drain.

Indian Chutiapa @ Olympics

In the ongoing Olympics,India is probably seeing the never before seen results. But i am not going to talk about these over glorified achievements.I am talking about about some of the IQ deprived decisions because of which a gold medal is still a mirage.
I would like to highlight the much hyped Tennis controversy about the misplaced egos of the players and the association .This was reminiscent of the Sheen-Chuck feud which ended up screwing 2 shows. Firstly,Finalizing the doubles combination at the last moment was an action of obvious stupidity. What were they thinking? This was not a Breadth-end sem. This is serious stuff. Moreover it was very clear that the only realistic hope for a medal was the mixed-doubles event in which Mahesh-Sania had already won 2 grand slams. The players failed to understand that this was not the issue of playing for India or for themselves.Getting a medal is a win-win in any case.Still they fought desperately for the doubles combination.Instead of keeping the ball in their court, they were showing off the balls in their shorts, ending up with no balls and giving a free hit to their opponents.
This event is just the tip of the Iceberg.Such internal chutiaps is one of the main reasons India can only dream for a gold while Kazakhstan already has 6 in its pocket.
